Our Mission
Twinkle Star Dance Academy is passionate about sharing joy and connection through dance. Our core values are Community, Joy, Supportive, Inclusive, Patient, Caring, Kind, and cultivating a Healthy Environment that extends beyond our studio walls.
A community, not just a class
Our community is dancers and their families, our teachers, our administrators, and the friends and loved-ones who cheer them on. We focus on the dancer's journey, from the very first dance class to the stage and into their teen and adult lives. Families take that journey too, as observers and supporters.
Lessons that last a lifetime
The feeling of moving to music is life-changing. Most of our dancers will never pursue dance professionally, and that was never the point. The lessons they learn here stay with them, enriching their lives and the community around them.
We believed it. Then we measured it.
When we opened our first studio, we believed a joyful, non-competitive dance class was good for children. So we set out to find out for certain. Working with the University of Pennsylvania, we measured how children feel before and after class, and our findings were published in 2026 in Frontiers in Psychology. Across thousands of classes, children's mood was maintained or improved after the large majority of them.
We're careful about what that means: it can't promise the same result for every child every day, and it doesn't claim dance is the only reason kids feel better. But it confirms what we've always believed. A warm, well-run dance class is a wonderful place for a child to be.
A business with a purpose
We build welcoming, non-competitive communities where children are encouraged rather than ranked. Our purpose is to grow a grand community through dance, and to love your dancers and their families as they learn to love dance and each other.
We can't wait to welcome you and your dancer.
